Valentine’s Day known as Saint Valentine’s Day and this is the saint valentine feast which is celebrated all over the world on 14th February every year. It is celebrated in different countries and this day is considered as working day. The saint valentine’s day is celebrated in the memory of Christian saint Known as Valentinus. We can see that many stories has been on the valentine’s day and later more stories were added to it. One of story of saint valentine which we remember is that saint valentine was punished and was jailed for performing weddings for soldiers for marrying Christians. When he was jailed, he healed the feelings of jail daughter named Asterius. Before his execution, he write a letter which is named as Your Valentine a farewell.
At present now we are celebrating Valentine’s Day as a feast day in Anglican Communion. The orthodox church in eastern side also celebrates valentine’s day on July 6th and 30th. In the eastern side it was remembered under the Roman Saint Valentine and then under the name of Hieromartyr Valentine.
Historical Relations
Many of the early Martyrs of the Christian were named as Valentine and it is remembered on 14th February as Valentine of Rome. The valentine of Rome is a priest who died in 496 AD and his body was buried at Via Flaminia. The remaining parts of his body was kept in Church was named as the San Valentino Catacombs. This was an important pilgrim in the middle ages and later the parts of Saint Valentine were shifted to Santa Prassede church and it was under the ruler of Nicholas four. The skull of saint valentine which is crowned like flower is placed in Santa Maria Basilica in Cosmedin, Rome. Some of the other parts were found at Street at Whitefriar Carmelite church which is at Ireland.
14th February is celebrated as Saint Valentine’s Day in different Christian cultures. The saint valentine feast day is shown in saints calendar and also in church Lutheran. In 1969 the Roman calendar was revised and saint valentine’s feast day was removed from the General calendar of Roman. The main reason was the saint valentine’s day memorial was ancient. In different calendar it is shown as different names. The feast day is celebrated, where the parts were found and it is celebrated by catholic which are traditional.

According to J.C cooper, he writes about saint valentine as Christianity dictionary who was priest in Rome and he was jailed for performing marriages for Christians. In the early fourth century the records of saint valentine was destroyed at time of persecution of Diocletianic. Saint valentine was executed as Christian and he was imprisoned under the Ruler Emperor Claudius two. The Ruler was very fond of saint valentine and he made a discussion for getting converted to Roman paganism for saving his life. Instead valentine made Claudius two for getting converted and he was executed.
