Republic Day is a majestic parade which makes us proud to be an Indian. On this day the true spirit will be there in our hearts and the patriotism feeling will be there in hearts of all Indians across the country. Every year a number of check posts has been started and in Delhi, the major preparations has been done. Number of routes will be closed for tight security. Before the parade happens, each day people are making effort to make this Republic Day a good one. The venue of hosting this Republic Day is vivified with tri color flags. The sound of helicopters and air jets tend to begin, as the Air force prepares for their shows.
The patriotic feeling of Indian people can be seen in huge crowd at India Gate for paying tribute to martyrs of Independence struggle. The preparations for the parade begins months before the actual day. The event begins as Prime Minister lays wreath at Amar Jyothi at India Gate. Foreign head will be welcomed as chief guest. The grand parade of Indian Army, Navy and Air force will begin and next it will the award ceremony which is given to honor the brave hearts.
Republic Day Parade
The Republic Day parade begins at 9.30 am which is followed by the flag hosting ceremony on 26th January. The parade will run for three hours and a full dress rehearsal will be held few days back before the actual event. The Republic Day Parade starts at Rajpath, Delhi which is five kilometers long which is from Raisina hill near Rashtrapathi Bhavan and it follows to Rajpath at India Gate and to Red fort. Republic day parade starts when President arrives with escorted by body guards on horses. Prime Minister of India will lays wreath at Amar jyoti at India Gate to pay tribute to brave hearts who sacrificed for our country. President then raises National flag as National Anthem is played and 21 gun salute will be given.
Parade is led by three divisions of armed forces like Army, Navy and Air force, where they displays their strength. A dramatic air show will be shown and it will be parade grand finale. Each Indian state will be in different float for representing the culture.
How to buy tickets for Republic Day?
We can get tickets in different ways for the parade. The front row passes can be collected from the VIP’S in Delhi. Tickets for Republic Day Parade are on sale from January 10th to January 25th. From the India tourism development corporation or at the travel counters at Ashok and Janpath Hotels. The tickets are available only on working days. From the Delhi tourism development corporation and counters at coffee home, Baba Kharag Singh Marg and food, Craft Bazar, Dilli Hat, which is opposite to INA Market and Shri Gandhi Ashram, Chandni chowk. Tickets are available at these centers and it is available only at working days.
